MBABANE:King Mswati through his Spokesperson Percy Simelane has been making one excuse after another when asked to explain the delay in the appointment of the Judicial Service Commission(JSC).
As a result and for almost two(2) years now, the country’s Judiciary is operating without the JSC thus grounding some key Departments as Acting Magistrates, Master of the High Court Assistants and other judicial officers are sitting at home without employment contracts.
King’s Spokesperson Percy Simelane previously told this Swaziland New that, the delay “was meant to ensure that rightful or deserving people are appointed”.
But this publication subsequently gathered that, “there’s a power struggle within the corridors of power, Chief Justice Bheki Maphalala, backed by his faction within the regime, is proving to be too strong to be removed”.
