MBABANE:Taiwan has donated five hundred thousand United States Dollars($500,000.00-about R10million) towards the newly established Women Business Start-up Micro Finance Revolving Fund.
The donation was handed over by visiting Taiwan Foreign Minister Lin Chia-Lung and his delegation on Wednesday and, comes after the looting and subsequent collapse of the Swaziland Women Economic Empowerment Trust(SWEET).
Eswatini and Taiwan enjoys warm diplomatic relations and, the tiny Kingdom is the only African country with diplomatic relations with the Island recognized as part of China in terms of the United Nations(UN) Resolution 2758 of 1971.
