EZULWINI:Four(4) boys aged between fourteen(14) and fifteen(15) were allegedly heavily assaulted by Ezulwini Muslim church leader Jafari Dlamini on Monday, the Muslim is alleged to have further threatened to rape and sodomize them as a punishment.

The children subsequently went to a nearby woman and asked to be accompanied to the Police Station but,the police first told them to come back with their parents.

“Usisukele nje watsi siyedzelela, wacale wasishayisa ema press-ups watsi singabombuka emehlweni.Wabese utsi asiphakamise lunyawo sime ngalunye for almost an hour. We got tired and stopped, he assaulted us saying we are disrespecting his command and threatened to sodomize us as a punishment,” said one of the children.

It has been disclosed that, the police subsequently summoned Dlamini but, he claimed to be in South Africa.

Senior Superintendent Phindile Vilakati,the eSwatini Police Spokesperson declined to comment about the matter.

Reached for comments on Wednesday, Jafari Dlamini denied thretening to sodomize the children but confirmed assaulting them merely for trespassing his home.

Dlamini said, these allegations against him were being fabricated by one of the mothers who had ‘unresolved’ issues with him.

“I only assaulted them for trespassing my home, bebahamba lakhaya kani kute indlela”, he said.

It has been disclosed that, “the abused children are among orphans and vulnerable kids who normally visit the Muslim Carepoint to beg for food” amid the poverty situation in eSwatini.

But one of the Ezulwini residents told this publication that,Dlamini might have assaulted the children merely for refusing to be sodomized.

But when this journalist asked the Muslim to respond specifically, on the sodomizing allegations, he terminated the conversation.
