MATSAPHA : Dr Salebona Simelane, the Registrar of the University of Eswatini (UNESWA) said the certificates for the graduating class of 2020 will be released before the end of February.
This comes after this Swaziland News published a story where UNESWA 2020 graduates were complaining about the delay in the issuing of their certificates.The university had blamed the COVID-19 pandemic for the delay.
A press statement issued by the University's Registrar on Wednesday indicated that the University will finally release the certificates before the end of February without holding a graduation ceremony.
"The Senate resolved at its meeting held on the 8th January that the academic certificates for the 2019/2020 Academic Year should be issued with the date of 5th December 2020 inscribed on them.The printing of the certificates is ongoing and they shall be released before the end of February 2021.All concerned shall be notified when they may collect their certificates", said the Registrar in a statement.
