MBABANE: Manqoba Khumalo, the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade has pleaded to secure funding for the upgrading of the Mbabane market in an effort to support the vendors operating within the capital city.
The Commerce Minister who was speaking during a press conference held at the Mbabane Municipality on Monday, said the funding will be secured in the next three(3) years.
“I am very happy with this report highlighting the successful hosting of the Eswatini Consumer Fair. This project is enhancing national branding and a symbol of economic self-determination,” said the Commerce Minister.
The Eswatini Consumer Fair was held on 25 April 2025 where over 140 SMEs businesses showcased their products and services and, the move to upgrade the capital city's market will assist local trading between vendors and consumers.
