MBABANE: Mthandeni Dube, the Ngwempisi Member of Parliament(MP) came hard on Prince Majaha for celebrating the death of the Swaziland Democratic Party(SWADEPA) President Jan Sithole.
Speaking to this Swaziland News on Sunday, the Honorable MP said Jan Sithole fought for justice on behalf of the people including workers rights such that some of the benefits enjoyed by the people today are the results of his bravery in fighting for social, economic and political justice.
“We are shocked by the conduct of Prince Majaha and we are asking ourselves if his mind is stable because you cannot utter such sentiments to a dead person. We are asking ourselves what type of democracy does he subscribes to where people are not allowed to freely voice their opinions. The Nation benefitted from the work of Jan Sithole and all those he was working with at the time. We are now surprised that a whole Prince can say he will never forgive Jan, what type of democracy does he subscribes to that made him to hate people with different views” he said.
The Ngwempisi MP wondered if Prince Majaha wants all the Swazis to agree and accept anything from one person even if they don’t agree with those in in power.
“Jan never engaged in any violence but he was speaking against injustice and organizing demonstrations, these are human rights that empowers any person to voice his discomfort against decisions by those in power. We are shocked by the conduct and the thinking capacity of Prince Majaha, maybe he needs a brain scan” said the MP.
After a leaked video where Prince Majaha and the late Labour Minister Makhosi Vilakati were celebrating the death of Jan Sithole reached the public domain, Prince Majaha was interviewed by the Times Sunday where he said he hated anyone who was giving his dad, King Mswati a hard time by calling for democracy.
