MBABANE:Army Commander Moses Mashikilisane Fakudze held a secret meeting this week with some of his trusted soldiers, he subsequently ordered them to investigate the cellphone of Brigadier General Zenzele ‘Ace’ Dlamini, accusing him of leaking information to Swaziland News editor Zweli Martin Dlamini.
This comes after this Swaziland News exposed Fakudze for allegedly owning cattle worth R3million being proceeds of bribery after the Army Commander collected bribes from members of the public seeking jobs in the army and, from officials who paid him for promotions.
Now it has emerged that, the Army Commander allegedly ordered the soldiers to investigate Brigadier Dlamini’s cellphone but some of his trusted soldiers who were part of the meeting subsequently leaked the information to the editor.
Information shared to this publication suggests that, the Army Commander said he was convinced that, if Brigadier General Dlamini’s cellphone could be forcefully grabbed and investigated, he will be found communicating with the Swaziland News editor.
During the meeting, the Army Commander cited the story where he was exposed stealing fuel with his transport officer Lieutenant Sibusani Maseko, he said it was only Brigadier General Zenzele Dlamini who had the pictures published by this publication.
“I am convinced that it’s him nguye lolotsengisa lemphi”, said the Army Commander in a recorded meeting, he declined to comment about the allegations.
On another note, the Army Commander is alleged to be under vigorous investigation by King Mswati’s intelligence seeking to verify the allegations suggesting that, he was owning cattle worth R3million.
The investigation by the King’s Intelligence and, against the Army Commander, was allegedly launched after this publication exposed Fakudze on allegations of corruption.
