NOKWANE:Army Commander Moses Mashikilisane Fakudze allegedly used arms of war when unleashing soldiers to attack Brigadier General Zenzele ‘Ace’ Dlamini on Monday morning.

It has been disclosed that, Brigadier Dlamini subsequently went to Mafutseni Police Station to open a criminal case and, the matter is now handled by National Commissioner Vusi Manoma Masango among other senior officers.

But according to the police statement seen by this publication and leaked by police sources, Brigadier General Dlamini was attacked along the ka-Bhudla-Siteki road and, on his way to work at the Nokwane Army Headquarters.

The Army Commander first accused Brigadier General Zenzele Dlamini of communicating with this journalist and leaking information but before the soldiers attacked the top army officer, this publication reported that, Army Commander Mashikilisane Fakudze was plotting to attack Brigadier General Zenzele ‘Ace’ Dlamini.

This comes after this publication obtained information of a secret meeting where the Army Commander was plotting with other soldiers to attack and grab Brigadier Dlamini’s cellphone to investigate if indeed, he was communicating with this journalist.

A questionnaire was sent to the Army Commander, however, he had not responded at the time of compiling this report.

On another note, in the midst of tension within the Umbutfo Eswatini Defense Force(UEDF), Army Commander Moses Mashikilisane Fakudze dissolved the Intelligence Unit that include Major Olly Nyirenda, Captain Mpostoli Simelane, Major Bongani Tfwala, Lieutenant Colonel Sanele Dlamini and Captain Zizwe Maseko.

The intelligence officers were allegedly accused by Commander Fakudze of being loyal to former Army Commander Jeffery Shabalala.

But the tension within the Army Commander escalated after this investigative journalist exposed Commander Mashikilisane Fakudze for allegedly owning over two hundred(200) cattle worth R3million and, being proceeds of bribes from members of the public seeking jobs in the army and officers who were made to pay for promotions.

The Army Commander is also accused of stealing over R20million and subsequently closed the Burial Fund that was assisting soldiers to contribute twelve thousand Rands(R12,000.00) as “imali yekulila” when visiting families to mourn the death of a soldier.
