MBABANE:Savannah Maziya,the Minister of Information, Communications and Technology(ICT) has urged Members of Parliament(MPs) to embrace technology particularly, Artificial Intelligence(AI).
Government online platforms reported that, over the past two days, MPs gathered for a transformative Training in Governance Workshop, hosted by the Ministry of ICT in partnership with the Royal Science and Technology Park, the Minister officially closed the workshop on Wednesday at the Happy Valley Hotel, Ezulwini.
“AI is here.It has been here.We are just paying more attention now because it is becoming more prevalent in all that we do.We are Government in Your Hand, the new, dignity-affording, client-centric, and people-focused Government.Together, we are creating a new tomorrow,” she said.
It has been reported that, the workshop introduced MPs to ethical use of Artificial Intelligence in policymaking, potential to transform public service delivery and, the legislative frameworks that enable digital transformation.
