MBABANE:Bheki Mamba, the President of the Swaziland Democratic Nurses Union (SWADNU) said the E10,000.00 donation to the Lubombo Referral staff by the editor of the Swaziland News Zweli Martin Dlamini was his demonstration that the role of health workers in the country should be recognised.
In an interview with this Swaziland News, the Nurses\' union President said the editor has shown every swazi that the role of health workers must be recognised and appreciated for their huge role in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.
\"We greatly appreciate what the Swaziland News editor has done , showing every Swazi that the role, sacrifice and dedication of our nurses and other health care workers qualifies to be recognised and appreciated\", said the SWADNU President.
In an earlier interview, the Swaziland News editor said the health workers demonstrated love for the Nation by reporting for duty without enough working resources particularly Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs), knowing very well that their lives were in danger.
\"It\'s a motivation for the health workers at Lubombo Referral Hospital who risk their lives everyday fighting the COVID-19 by taking care of our relatives. They must know that as a Nation we love them and appreciate what they are doing. The health workers through their President Bheki Mamba will collectively decide on what they want to do with their donation that will make them happy,\"said the editor.
