PUDEMO leader Velaphi Mamba says construction companies owned by emaSwati must participate fully and benefit from the R2.5billion Siphofaneni-Siphambanweni road, calls for relaxation of African Development Bank(AfDB) loan conditions.

MBABANE:Velaphi Mamba,the leader of the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) says construction companies owned by emaSwati participate fully and benefit from the R2.5billion Siphofaneni-Siphambanweni road funded through a loan sourced from the African Development Bank(AfDB).

Speaking on his Visionary Perspective Program on Sunday, the PUDEMO leader said if need be, the loan conditions must be relaxed to allow companies owned by emaSwati to participate and benefit from this project.

“Business Eswatini, FESBC and Commercial Amadoda must find a way to engage Government and ensure that, construction companies owned by emaSwati participate fully and benefit from this project. We can’t have such a huge road project in the country where emaSwati are sidelined”, he said.
