MBABANE:Simangaliso Gama,the Mbabane Councillor, might face a disciplinary hearing following his alleged one hundred thousand Rands(R100,000.00) fraudulent sale of land scandal exposed by this Swaziland News.
It has been disclosed that, the Councillor has been served with a letter directing him to explain and clarify the allegations.
As reported by this publication, Gama allegedly colluded with former Mbabane Mayor Zaphaniah Nkambule to defraud Make Diana Ntombizodwa Mnisi the said amount by selling her land that was already sold.
Efforts to seek a comment from the accused Councillor proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.
Reached for comments by this Swaziland News on Monday evening, Mbabane Mayor Thulani Mkhonto said the matter was being handled internally.
“The matter is being handled internally and within the structures of the Municipality”, he said.
It has been disclosed that, Councillor might face the disciplinary hearing for violating the Mbabane Municipality Code of Conduct.
