MATSAPHA:King Mswati has welcomed and acknowledged convicted pro-democracy Member of Parliament(MP) Mthandeni Dube’s apology when speaking during the Correctional Services Day on Friday in Matsapha.
The King said, “forgiving is part of human nature and Christian values and expressed appreciation of Dube’s kind words” wishing him a long life.
“It’s part of Christian values to forgive, we must learn to forgive each other singaphindziseli lokubi ngalokubi”, he said.
The King was reacting to the message from MP Mthandeni Dube, delivered by Justice Minister Prince Simelane who wished the King a long life and further expressed willingness to formally apologise to the King in terms of eSwatini Law and Custom.
Dube was arrested and subsequently convicted for demanding democracy and/or an elected Prime Minister, he was charged with terrorism among other fabricated charges.
