LAMGABHI:Alec Lushaba, the Hhukwini Member of Parliament(MP) is no longer residing at LaMgabhi eTiyeni as his home was completely destroyed during the political unrest and his family fled for safety.
A Sunday(22nd June 2025) picture shows only a shack(umkhukhu) that was left at what used to be MP Lushaba’s home, residents of the areas recently complained about the disappearance of the MP and his absence in development projects.
Efforts to reach MP Lushaba for a comment proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.
On another note, the MP who was previously working as the Swazi Observer editor arrived at LaMgabhi eTiyeni a few years ago to ask for a piece of land through “kukhonta” however, he later joined a group of men within uMphakatsi who were attempting to sell land belonging to Swaziland News editor Zweli Martin Dlamini’s family.
Some of the uMphakatsi men who were working with Lushaba in attempting to sell the land have died, Indvuna Alfred Maseko died during the COVID-19 pandemic.
MP Lushaba subsequently fled the area and his current residential address remains unknown.
