MBABANE:Phesheya Dube, the ex-Principal Secretary(PS) in the Ministry of Information, Communication and Technology(ICT) might be deployed and be given another assignment by the country’s authorities.
This was revealed by royal insider, very close to King Mswati, this journalist was seeking information and clarity regarding the recent reshuffle and appointment of new Principal Secretaries.
Bheki Gama, the “PS in the Ministry of Education is literally going home as he is due for retirement this year” while Phesheya Dube remains a civil servant.
“He might be deployed by Labadzala to another Portfolio but as you know, the King always plays such cards close to his chest and he doesn’t like to be predicted. I will update you where he might be deployed but of course, the King acts on advice from the Civil Service Commission. Phesheya is quite a hardworking, loyal and brilliant servant of the King. But even if I can update you, that’s would be your own information so that you can stay informed not to publish before official announcement because the King is very sensitive and he does like to read about his appointments before the official announcement,” said the royal insider very close to King Mswati.
On Tuesday, Phesheya Dube conducted a handover to new PS Andreas Dlamini, he wished him well in the new position and praised King Mswati for appointing Dlamini.
“Sikhuta li-Bayethe siyetsemba Simakadze utawuba nawe as you take this position”, he said when welcoming the new PS and officially leaving his position as the Principal Secretary in the Ministry of ICT.
