MBABANE:Khaya Mavuso, the Spokesperson of the Eswatini Electricity Company(EEC) has declined to comment when asked to clarify why areas where the poor and middle class citizens reside.
The State owned electricity company under the Ministry of Natural Resources “is allegedly delaying to restore electricity supply in areas ‘facing’ power-cuts to save electricity and, on the other hand, places where the rich and powerful reside electricity is always on supply”.
The entire country is currently facing an electricity crisis with emaSwati struggling to cook, bath with hot or warm water and further use their electricity gadgets.
NATIONWIDE CRISIS:Eswatini Electricity Company(EEC) systematically switching-off electricity in areas where the poor and middle class reside, no termination of power in places where the rich and powerful owns houses.
