MBABANE:Mduduzi Matsebula, the Minister of Health appears to be an equally frustrated person as the health crisis worsens.
In a leaked cellphone conversation he alleges that, “King Mswati is putting pressure on him, demanding the supply of drugs in public hospitals”.
The Health Minister was speaking to another high profile person seeking advice as the health crisis worsens, he said the King questioned him about media reports suggesting that, “there are no drugs” in public hospitals.
“Inkhosi ingitsetsise for three(3)hours, ifuna lemitsi etibhedlela, angati sengitawenta njani”, the Health Minister said.
Acting Government Spokesperson Thabile Mdluli declined to comment about the matter.
Eswatini is facing a health crisis amid shortage of drugs in public hospitals, dozens have died since the crisis triggered by rampant corruption, erupted.
King Mswati’s Spokesperson Percy Simelane previously told this Swaziland News that, the King was expecting the supply of drugs in public hospitals as per the approved National Budget adding that, those responsible for the looting, must be held accountable.
