Nedbank Eswatini owing R1.8million rent, loses round one against Galp Matsapha owner businesman Calu, Judge Bonginkhosi Magagula says matter urgent.

MBABANE:Judge Bonginkhosi Magagula has dismissed points of law raised by Nedbank Eswatini, the bank is refusing to pay rent due to Ncamase Investments(Pty) Ltd, a company owned by businessman Issumonia Calu.

Nedbank was renting premises at Big Tree Complex-Mahhala but, subsequently refused to pay rent and now owing the landlord R1.8million, businessman Calu ran to court seeking an order directing Nedbank to pay the rent.

Judge Magagula ordered that, the matter is urgent and dismised lawyer Nedbank lawyer Zweli Jele’s points of law arguing that, “the matter is not urgent”.

Businessman Calu is represented by Xolile Mnisi of MLK Ndlangamandla Attorneys in the matter.
