MBABANE:Percy Simelane, the King’s Spokesperson says Constance Simelane, the late former and first female Deputy Prime Minister(DPM) was a ‘no-nonsense’ but, hard working politician who understood the eSwatini politics.

Speaking to this Swaziland News on Monday morning when asked to share his experience while working with the late former DPM, the King’s Spokesperson said Constance Simelane was very strict and wanted things done.

“We had a solid working relationship with Sisana as she was affectionatly known, that refused to be softened by the fact that we were sharing the last name. She was naturally strict with everyone around her and I was not spared the anguish of having to listen to someone who wanted things done, either professionally or just right. It was from her perfectionist attitude that I learnt I had not just been elevated to a higher position from being a reporter with the national Radio Station but trusted with a national responsibility as a Government Press Secretary. I shall always be indebted to her no nonsense attitude towards me because it made me stronger and not weaken me at all. She understood the politics of Eswatini like no other family member I knew from her house,” said the King’s Spokesperson.
