MBABANE:Pastor Bheki Abel Vilakati, a Presenter of the privately owned Voice of the Church(VOC) Radio Station is facing an internal investigation, he is accused of deep kissing a colleague who subsequently resigned.
The alleged victim whose name cannot be disclosed for ethical reasons, wrote to the Human Resources Manager and subsequently handed over a copy of the letter to VOC National Director Zachariah Mthethwa reporting the sexual harassment allegations and, stating the reasons behind his resignation.
“I have been subjected to sexual harassment by Mr. Abel Bheki Vilakati Programming Manager and immediate supervisor.He once deep kissed and leaving me in deep shock and unsure of how to respond”, said the resigned VOC employee.
Efforts to reach Abel Bheki Vilakati for a comment proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.
But Zachariah Mthethwa, the VOC National Director confirmed the matter adding that, it was being handled and investigated internally.
“I can only confirm receiving the letter reporting the alleged sexual harassment and, we are handling the matter internally as per company policies or rules. We will provide you with details on appropriate action to be taken once we have concluded the internal investigations that will inform a decision if the implicated employee will be suspended or not,” said the VOC National Director when speaking to editor Zweli Martin Dlamini on Friday morning.
