MBABANE:Foreign Minister Pholile Dlamini-Shakantu and King’s Private Secretary Sihle Dlamini are allegedly behind the establishment of various social media ‘fake online platforms’ insulting even loyalists of the Tinkhundla system particularly those who disagree with Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini.
The Foreign Minister secured funding from Taiwan in a recently signed agreement known as “Countering of Misinformation”, the agreement was signed with Taiwan Foreign Minister His Excellency Dr. Lin Chia-lung.
Swaziland News editor Zweli Martin Dlamini said he will not focus on the fake online platforms but, will soon launch a vigorous investigation on the eSwatini Foreign Minister, the King’s Interpreter and the entire syndicate as their conduct suggest that, they might be engaging in corruption hence their desire to control and confuse the public with fake online platforms while allegedly stealing public funds.
Eswatini is currently facing rampant corruption in the public administration that triggered a health crisis and/or shortage of drugs in public hospitals, dozens have died since the crisis erupted.
Foreign Minister Pholile Dlamini-Shakantu is allegedly part of a powerful political syndicate controlling even Cabinet, the syndicate includes Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini, Home Affairs Minister Lindiwe Dlamini and King’s Interpreter Sihle Dlamini.
Acting Government Spokesperson Thabile Mdluli declined to comment about these allegations.
On another note, the editor said even the King will be shocked to learn how his Birthday Celebration multimillion budget is manipulated and the monies looted by this syndicate that “seems uncomfortable and losing sleep with the existence of the independent media”.
