MBABANE:Bheki Mahlalela, a police officer based at Mbabane Police Station Criminal Investigating Department(CID) was allegedly involved in a car accident on Saturday night while ‘running away’ from the traffic police in a dramatic chase amid drink and driving allegations.
It has been disclosed that, Mahlalela was from the Mavuso Trade Centre-Manzini after attending the Biggest Braai, he then transported the car, a Toyota Dakar registered WSD 591 DM to Msunduza where it is being repaired.
The car was then photographed by sources of this Swaziland News, Senior Superintendent Phindile Vilakati, the Police Spokesperson declined to comment about the accident.
On another note, some emaSwati who drive under the influence of alcohol “are arrested while police shoot those who tried to escape in an attempt to evade arrest”, it remains unclear if Mahlalela will face justice.
