LOZITHA:King Mswati has received letters of credence from His Excellency Shimizu Fumio, the Japan Ambassador to the Kingdom of eSwatini, Government online platforms reported on Tuesday afternoon.
It has been reported that, His Majesty the King, pledged the Monarchy and Government's support and cooperation during the course of the Ambassador’s tour of duty in the Kingdom.
The Ambassador further conveyed best wishes from the Japan’s Emperor to the King, applauding the existing diplomatic relations between the two(2) countries.
"I would like to convey to Your Majesty, His Majesty the Emperor’s best wishes to see the further strengthening of the cardinal relations between our two countries. Your Majesty, Japan and Eswatini have established close and cordial relations since the establishment of our diplomatic relations in 1971.Japan has been deeply committed to contributing to Eswatini’s priorities such as education, healthcare, agriculture and food security through various cooperation frameworks, including grant assistance and technical assistance. It is our great honour and pleasure that Your Majesty will be travelling to Japan next month, to attend the Ninth Summit Meeting of TICAD, or Tokyo International Conference on African Development. As Your Majesty is very aware, TICAD has a history of more than 30 years since it was established in 1993,” said the Japan Ambassador.
