MPOLONJENI:Ngcina Chief Sibambiso Dlamini arrived at the disputed land between Ngcina and Mpolonjeni on Tuesday, destroyed an under construction Shopping Complex owned by the late Manzini police officer Jerry Maxwell Magawulane Makhanya.
Sipho Makhanya, a brother to the deceased cop told this Swaziland News that, the Chief arrived with a TLB armed with a gun, within five(5) minutes he was done with the demolition.
“The Chief claims the Shopping Complex was built within his Ngcina area yet we obtained permission at Mpolonjeni uMphakatsi.The two(2) iMiphakatsi are fighting, Chief Sibambiso Dlamini even tried to stop my brother’s funeral,” he said.
But Chief Sibambiso Dlamini spoke to editor Zweli Martin Dlamini on Wednesday morning and confirmed destroying the Shopping Complex belonging to the Makhanya family.
This was after this Swaziland News was tried several times to contact him so he can share his side of the story in this matter.
“It’s true, I demolished the Shopping Complex as per a court order. Ingwenyama yangibeka Nkhosi kutsi mane ngiyibukele leya ndzawo so any structure must be known by the Royal Kraal.We tried to speak to the Makhanya family to stop the construction so we can discuss the matter eMphakatsini but they continued. So an illegal structure is normally demolished not only on eSwatini Nation Land but, even in areas under Municipalities. It doesn’t matter the costs of the building, if it’s an illegal structure, it is normally destroyed. Ngoba wena Nkhosi nawubekiwe yi-Ngwenyama itsi yelusele lendzawo, kumele ubuke kungentiwa tintfo ingati Indlunkhulu,” said the Chief.
