MBABANE:Neal Rijikernberg, the eSwatini Minister of Finance has called for more financial support for the youth to establish digital transformation and/or technology businesses.
The Finance Minister was speaking on Thursday at the United Nations(UN) House during the launch of the Eswatini Economic Update report, he said young people are now technologically advanced and capable of leading the country’s digital transformation agenda.
“From the Ministry of Finance, we see it as our responsibility to enable this transformation-by supporting sound public investment in digital infrastructure where needed, mobilizing development finance, and encouraging private sector participation. We are also committed to improving digital public financial management, including through implementation of the Integrated Financial Management Information System (IFMS), e-procurement and digital payments, to enhance efficiency and trust in how resources are used,” he said.
