MBABANE: His Excellency Jeremy Liang, the Ambassador of the Republic of China on Taiwan to the Kingdom of Eswatini said his country will continue assisting Emaswati in the fight against COVID-19 through various social programs.
Speaking to this Swaziland News in an exclusive interview on Monday shortly after donating sanitisers worth E245,000.00 and Personal Protective Clothing(PPEs) valued at E290,000, the Ambassador said his country, a true friend of Eswatini always strives to provide assistance where necessary to assist Emaswati.
“Taiwan, as a true friend of Eswatini, will always stand shoulder to shoulder to push the fight against the pandemic. We donated sanitisers and protective clothing to the frontline medical personnel. We are very happy to offer such assistance and we will continue to do so until we eradicate the pandemic” ,said the Taiwan Ambassador.
Liang said Taiwan's assistance was not only focusing on government but the private sector and this includes Non-Government Organisations(NGOs) and Charity Organisations.
“Our assistance does not only focus on government but the private sector including NGOs and Charitable Organisations” said the Ambassador.
