MBABANE:Mvuselelo Mkhandawiri, the Mbabane Police Officer who allegedly threatened to shoot and kill ‘Babetala’ for demanding child maintenance, has promised to take responsibility after impregnating a Form two(II) St Mary’s High School girl.
This was confirmed by Nkosinathi Nhlengetfwa, the father of the school girl when speaking to this publication on Wednesday.
“After you published the story, I received a call from the father of the police officer, he sent R500.00 and apologized for the conduct of his son. Mvuselelo’s sisters called me as well and promised to assist for now and then, the police officer will be engaged at family level to take responsibility. Batsi babone lendzaba ka-Swaziland News, I was so frustrated as the father the girl because I paid school fees but at least now, the family of the police officer is taking responsibility,” he said.
On another note, Nonhlanhla Dlamini, the Executive Director of the Eswatini Action Group Against Abuse(SWAGAA) urged the police officer to conduct a DNA test not to just deny that,he impregnated the school girl.
