MBABANE:Senator Chief Prince Mphatfwa says corruption is rife in Government as civil servants demand ten-percent(10%) from suppliers.
Speaking during a meeting between Senators and the Human Rights and Integrity Commission on Monday, the Prince urged the Commission to consider demanding transparency and accountability not only from them as politicians but, even from junior civil servants.
The Chief of eLudlawini said, some civil servants “are owning houses worth millions on Eswatini Nation Land but, their salaries” does not justify their lifestyle.
“The Commission must work extra hard in the fight against corruption, all of us including junior public servants must declare assets so that, our lifestyle could be monitored,” said the Chief.
