MBABANE:Lomvula Hlophe, the Director of Public Prosecutions(DPP) was an alleged girlfriend to Sibusiso Jele, the father to alleged bogus lawyer Sibulelo ‘Sbu J’ Jele who made newspaper headlines this week for allegedly assaulted his girlfriend.
A brief research conducted by this Swaziland News uncovered that, ‘Sbu J’ has been assaulting women with impunity, while boasting that his father was dating or sharing a bedroom pillow with the country’s DPP.
The Director of Public Prosecutions is now married to former Prime Minister Cleopas Sipho Dlamini but alleged to be enjoying close proximity with her ex-boyfriend.
As a result, the alleged bogus lawyer would visit the DPP Offices situated in Mbabane saying “ngitovusela Make lomncane”, and Hlophe would welcome him saying “unjani mntfwanami” even though she is now married to the former Prime Minister.
When this journalist contacted the DPP on Wednesday morning seeking clarity as to why Sibulelo ‘Sbu J’ Jele was not arrested for assaulting women, the Director of Public Prosecutions asked not to comment.
“Hello Nkhosi”, she said but when this journalist introduced himself and asked questions, she declined not to comment and terminated the conversation.
Worth-noting, Sibusiso Jele, the then Finance Manager of the Eswatini Action Group Against Abuse(SWAGAA) was fired for assaulting his lover but the alleged bogus lawyer “is alleged to have told some of the victims that, they won’t receive assistance from SWAGAA as his father was working there.
Reached for comments by this Swaziland News, Nonhlanhla Dlamini, the SWAGAA Executive Director confirmed that, Finance Manager Sibusiso Jele was fired for assaulting his partner.
“We can confirm that, Sibusiso Jele was the Finance Manager and that, he was fired for allegedly assaulting his partner. SWAGAA has a clear policy suggesting that, once an employee is found guilty of abusing his or her partner, that employee is dismissed”, said the SWAGAA.
Efforts to reach Sibusiso Jele and his son ‘Sbu J’ proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.
On another, the Law Society of Eswatini(LSE) sent a press release to this publication, clarifying that Sibulelo ‘Sbu J’ Jele who was working for SM Jele Attorneys, is not a lawyer.
