Outgoing MTN Eswatini Chief Executive Officer(CEO) Wandile Mtshali says he reached an amicable agreement with the Board not to renew his contract.

MBABANE:Wandile Mtshali,the outgoing MTN Eswatini Chief Executive Officer(CEO) has clarified that, he reached an amicable agreement with the Board of Directors not to renew his contract.

Responding to this Swaziland News on Wednesday evening, the CEO dismissed reports suggesting that, he has been removed for alleged poor performance but instead, he said it was him who indicated to the Board that, he was not willing to renew his contract.

“I indicated to the board that I was not going to renew the contract and I will be doing something else.It was definitely an amicable agreement as per the employment contract. The notice period is 3 months and started 1 Aug,” said the MTN Eswatini CEO.

Jerry Soko, a Zambian national takes over the MTN Eswatini Acting Chief Executive Officer, he is currently the MTN Group General Manager of Commercial and Operations for Southern and East Africa.
