MADAGASCAR:King Mswati has signed legal instruments seeking to enhance cooperation between the Kingdom of eSwatini and other countries within the Southern African Development Community(SADC) region, Government online platforms reported on Sunday evening.
It has been reported that, the ratification took place during the 45th Ordinary Summit of Heads of State and Government held in Antananarivo-Madagascar, the legal instruments include an Agreement Regarding the Status of SADC Standby Force and its components deployed within the region for purposes of Training, Peace Support Operation, Exercises and Humanitarian Assistance.
The King further signed an agreement amending the Protocol on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters, Agreement Amending the Protocol on Extradition, 2019 and Protocol Against Trafficking of Persons.
“His Majesty King Mswati III also joined other SADC Heads of State and Government in signing the Protocol on Finance and Investment (Provisions on Money Laundering),” reads the Government online report.
