Business Eswatini Chief Executive Officer(CEO) Nathie Dlamini applauds new Tourism NKWE, says initiative to enhance national development agenda.

MBABANE:Nathie Dlamini,the Business Eswatini(BE) Chief Executive Officer(CEO) says the newly inaugurated Tourism NKWE will enhance the national development agenda.

Dlamini was the Program Director during the event graced by Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini at the Sharma House-Ezulwini and, hosted by the Hospitality and Tourism Association of Eswatini (HOTAES) in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and the Eswatini Tourism Authority.

The Business Eswatini CEO applauded businesspeople who attended the event, he said the industry survived the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Dlamini said this raw honesty wasn’t meant to dwell on the past, but to magnify the magnitude of the comeback-a comeback that Business Eswatini deeply invested in.

“This is undoubtedly a very important gathering in more ways than one,” he said.

The Prime Minister,Right Honorable Russell Mmiso Dlamini, called for strengthened global partnerships, explicitly connecting tourism growth to the national goals of wealth creation and wellbeing. 

This was echoed by the Minister of Finance Neal Rijkenberg, who positioned tourism as a key driver for the nation’s economic growth, emphasizing the improved outlook and the critical need for investor confidence. 

On another note, the Business Eswatini CEO said, this alignment between government policy and private sector ambition “is precisely the ecosystem Business Eswatini exists to foster”.
