Commerce Minister Mancoba Khumalo implementing new policy,says Government suppliers in the Small and Medium Enterprise(SME) sector to be paid urgently.

MBABANE:Mancoba Khumalo, the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade has released a statement confirming a policy that will result to Government prioritizing payments for Government suppliers in the Small and Medium Enterprise(SME) sector.

“The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Trade re-affirms its commitment to supporting Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises(MSMEs) through the newly launched National MSME Police 2024-2029. One of the key priorities outlined in this policy is the prioritization of payments to MSMEs, recognizing their vital role in job creation, poverty reduction, and economic growth”, he said.

The Commerce Minister said, he “has been receiving concerns of delayed payments for goods as services rendered by MSMEs to Government, Parastatals and the private sector and has since taken a decisive step towards addressing these concerns”.
