MBABANE:The witnesses including a soldier with critical information on a plot to kill King Mswati are in hiding and want to meet the Monarch.
The story was reported by this Swaziland News a few weeks ago and new information emerged suggesting that, the dangerous syndicate is hunting them.
It was reported that, a powerful syndicate held a meeting to plot how to kill Mswati, some of the King’s clothes were subsequently taken to Mozambique for rituals.
“Labantfu laba balaceleni kweNkhosi bayingoti ngoba bafuna kuphatsa lelive bachubeke basigcilate. It’s not like bavelana nemaSwati batifunela bona le-power,” said a soldier with critical information.
But one of the witnesses is a wife to a powerful individual who was following closely the plot and, is allegedly in possession of critical information.
The wife was allegedly attending some of the meeting, accompanying her husband before a fallout, the husband would then come back and boast that, he will soon take over the country.
Reached for comments by this Swaziland News, King Mswati’s Spokesperson Percy Simelane said, these alleged witnesses are free to meet the King.
“The King's open door policy is still intact.If the people in question want to meet their King, they should follow procedure.The starting point is finding Lincusa(go between) within the royal circles,” said the King’s Spokesperson.
