MBABANE:The United Nations Development Program(UNDP) has approved Eswatini’s Country Program Document(CPD) for 2026-2030.
The document was also approved by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) Executive Board at its 7th meeting held in New York, the United States of America(USA) last week.
The approval of the CPD paves way for the country to start implementing its new five-year strategy, fully aligned with the Eswatini National Development Plan and Sustainable Development Goals.
UNDP reported through online platforms that, the CPD was developed through extensive consultations with stakeholders across Government, civil society, the private sector and communities.
Thembinkhosi Mavuso, the eSwatini’s First Secretary to the United Nations(UN) was present during the approval of the CPD.
