MBABANE:Lot Vilakati, the Secretary General of the Swaziland National Association of Teachers(SNAT) has confirmed that, the Teaching Service Commission(TSC) might pay over R7million legal fees including monies due to SNAT President Mbongwa Dlamini’s lawyers.
This comes after the TSC dismissed the SNAT President without following labour laws, the courts subsequently reinstated him and Government through TSC Chairman Amos Mahlalela has been filing endless appeals while abusing public funds.
“We can confirm that, the costs of the case have exceeded R7million,” said the SNAT Secretary General when speaking to editor Zweli Martin Dlamini last week.
Efforts to reach TSC Chairman Amos Mahlalela for a comment proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.
On another note, Judge Zonke Magagula found TSC Chairman Amos Mahlalela guilty of contempt of court for refusing to allow the SNAT President back to work and as a result, Mahlalela might be sent to prison.
