MBABANE:Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini says, even though he fully supports the proposed conversion of the Eswatini National Provident Fund(ENPF) into a National Pension Fund, he don’t want to see the collapse of the Public Service Pension Fund(PSPF).

Responding to this Swaziland News this week, the PM who recently launched the Grand Plan for National Transformation said, the conversion must be implemented in a way that will ensure that, both the PSPF and ENPF complement each other in driving the national development agenda as per the King’s command directed to the current Cabinet.

“The good performance and success of the two institutions/Funds is of national importance. Their clientele is different and must coexist and prosper. All citizens of Eswatini should desire a prosperous country. The Grand Plan is a credible attempt to develop the country. It has captured the transformative vision of King Mswati to make Eswatini reach the first world status and proposes tested modus operandi and a pathway to achieve this ambitious goal,” said the Prime Minister.

On another note, the PM previously confirmed that, some Cabinet Ministers “are against the ENPF conversion but maintained that, the Ministers will support the conversion in principle after a Cabinet resolution that seeks to support the proposed conversion”.
