MBABANE:Sihle Dlamini, the King’s Interpreter came hard on the Executive Committee of the Eswatini National Association of Journalists(ENAJ) for releasing a press statement, praising Swaziland News editor Zweli Martin Dlamini’s efforts to defend media freedom.
Writing on his online platform operated by a former comrade he allegedly employed specifically to insult ‘Zwemart’, the King’s Interpreter said it was wrong for the Executive Commitee of the Journalists Association to praise the Swaziland News editor adding that, the statement could have been released without mentioning or praising Zwemart.
This comes after the editor defended Swazi Observer journalist Bongiwe Dlamini who was harassed by Cuddle Puddle Director Horse Sayler.
On another note, the King’s Interpreter recently survived an attack from a husband after being caught allegedly having sex with a married woman, he is a Pastor of the politically connected Jesus Calls Worship Centre(JCWC).
King’s Spokesperson Percy Simelane previously clarified that Sihle Dlamini’s conduct does not reflect the position of the King as he does not speak on behalf of the Monarchy.
This comes after the King’s Interpreter tried to attack Simelane as well for communicating with Zwemart when clarifying issues involving the King.
Simelane further clarified that, he remains the only Spokesperson for the King and therefore, Sihle Dlamini “must not be taken seriously when attacking the independent media claiming to be acting on behalf of the King”.
