OPINION:Chief Mshikashika wants to blame LaZwide for the failures of the entire Tinkhundla system, MP will learn that you can’t fight this undemocratic regime from within.

Suppose the community meeting proposed by Chief Mshikashika to evaluate MP LaZwide’s performance takes place, one wonders as how this exercise would manifest itself in reality, of great concern would be the template used to reach an average performance.

While this exercise would by itself, be strange it would not be out of the ordinary as mid-term evaluation is practiced in some democracies. However this proposed one smells a 'rat’ and for LaZwide to smell the ‘coffee’, she would have to see that Parliament is not a place to fight Tinkhundla.

Indeed evaluation of performance is needed to prove that there is just nothing that a MP can do to change the lives of the people in their constituencies.  Probably Chief Mshikashika is by now aware that there is no delivery in his community and unfortunately, he wants to put the blame to this MP when the whole machinery of Tinkhundla is dysfunctional.

We know that the Chief wants the people to replace MP LaZwide and in democratic countries this is done for a good course unlike in this situation where the Chief wants to blame an individual and live the political system out of the picture yet it is the root cause of the dysfunctional Tinkhundla system of Governance.

In conclusion, should Chief Mshikashika succeed in his endeavor, we will call all constituencies around the country to do the same. Let all communities begin to speak to their MP about progress reports.

But in all the communities of this country there is no delivery, it is not at ka-Ngcamphalala only but, in all the Chiefdoms.

We have said this now and again that Tinkhundla can’t deliver and that, you can’t make it deliver by being an MP let alone, fighting it from inside.

Whether fought from inside or outside, Tinkhundla is a failed system, producing a failing State.
