MBABANE:Sabelo Dlamini, the Director of the State owned Eswatini Broadcasting and Information Services(EBIS) is allegedly colluding with Under Secretary Macanjana Motsa to remove Deputy Director Veli Simelane.
As a result, Dlamini released a Minute last week, informing the staff of the State owned Radio Station that Nqoba Msibi has been appointed as the Acting Director while Simelane was on duty and previously acted in the same position for years while the Director was away.
“This Minute serves to notify you that I will be away on official duty resuming on the 09th September, 2025 to 17th September, 2025. Mr. Nqoba Msibi(Director Achieves) will be acting on my behalf as Director,” reads the Minute in part.
Director Sabelo Dlamini declined to comment about the matter while efforts to reach Under Secretary Macanjana Motsa proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.
But insiders within the State owned Radio Station told this Swaziland News that, the Director has been fighting the Deputy Director for sometime now.
“As you can see in the Minute, it’s the first time we see a junior officer being appointed the Acting Director while the Deputy Director is on duty,” said the insider.
It is alleged that, the Director is colluding with Under Secretary Macanjana Motsa in an attempt to remove Simelane as Deputy Director.
