MBABANE: Senator Themba Masuku, the Acting Prime Minister said one of the reasons he decided to quit Facebook was that some of the people using social media are suffering from a brain disorder.
The sentiments of the Acting Prime Minister who was quoted by the Times of eSwatini come as the youth intensifies calls for democratic reforms through social media and other platforms, demanding justice for Thabani Nkomonye who allegedly killed by the police. The Acting PM was heavily questioned through social media after he made a statement appealing to the public not to listen to three Members of Parliament(MPs) who are calling for democratic reforms.
“Some of the people using social media are suffering from a brain disorder of some sort. They can insult me all day long but I will remain who I am and will not change,” said the Acting Prime Minister when quoted by the Times.
Meanwhile, Hosea MP Mduduzi Bacede Mabuza, Siphofaneni MP Mduduzi 'Magawugawu' Simelane' and Ngwempisi MP Mthandeni Dube who are advocating for democratic reforms warned the Acting Prime Minister against using the State owned radio station to attack them, the national radio does not allow MPs and other pro-democracy activists to respond and clarify allegations raised by Government against them.
