MBABANE: Pro-democracy MPs Mduduzi Bacede Mabuza and Mthandeni Dube who are critical of King Mswati’s Government have filed a bail application after being remanded into custody until the 2nd August 2021.
Appearing for the MPs is Advocate Mduduzi Mabila who was instructed by lawyer Sifiso Jele, the matter was before Judge Mummcy Dlamini.
Lawyer Sifiso Jele confirmed to this Swaziland News that they would move a bail application on Monday afternoon on behalf of the MPs.
“They appeared before Judge Dlamini and were remanded until the 2nd of August 2021, we will move a bail application today(Monday) afternoon” ,he said.
The two MPs who are highly critical of the current Government and demanding democratic reforms on behalf of the people were charged with terrorism on Sunday after King Mswati issued an order to the police to arrest the pro-democracy legislators.
