MBABANE: Pro-democracy MP Mduduzi ‘Magawugawu’ Simelane said he would work with other stakeholders to organise a mass protest that would bring the country into a standstill and isolate King Mswati’s Government.
Addressing the Nation on Sunday live on Swaziland News online platforms, the Honorable MP said Swazis must prepare for a mass action that would involve even schools every week while others would be protesting in all areas across the country.
The MP said public transport operators would also join the protest while members of the public would park their cars on the road just to frustrate the regime and force it to surrender power.
“We must make sure that this regime is isolated. We want a mass protest that will involve even schools ,“he said.
King Mswati allegedly issued an order to arrest the MP who is one of those leading the calls for democratic reforms, he is wanted by the police on terrorism charges. The MP said he would use this opportunity to lobby the international community and intensify the calls for democratic reforms.
