MBABANE:  Siphofaneni Member of Parliament (MP) has warned emaSwati not to depend on Parliament to facilitate democratic reforms on their behalf.

Speaking during an interview with this Swaziland News on Sunday, the pro-democracy MP said the best answer would come from the people as opposed to Parliament.

“The atmosphere in Parliament is intimidating and you can’t expect much from the MPs there, as we speak its business as usual. The best answer will come from the people, be visible on the ground until government opens dialogue for democratic reforms, be an ambassador of the people’s liberation", he said.

King Mswati allegedly issued an order to arrest the MP who is one of those leading the calls for democratic reforms, he is wanted by the police on terrorism charges.
