MBABANE: Welcome Mdluli, the President of the Swaziland Democratic Nurses Union(SWADNU) said the conduct of State security officers during protests might result to more law enforcers being hospitalized for COVID-19.
Speaking to this Swaziland News, the Nurses President said law enforcers normally disregard COVID-19 Regulations in their line of duty particularly during protests and this placed their lives and that of the Nation in danger.
“As a country, we are yet to have a serious problem with security officers because they disregard COVID-19 Regulations particularly during protests, sometimes you find them loaded in a truck. They will then go back to the police station to issue tickets to members of the public thus placing their lives and that of the Nation in danger”, said the Nurses President.
Phindile Vilakati, the police Spokesperson had not responded at the time of compiling this report.
