MBABANE: Housing and Urban Development Minister Major General Prince Simelane has banned all protests as political temperatures continue to rise in this tiny Kingdom.

The Minister was speaking during a press conference held in Mbabane on Thursday where he stated that the decision to ban the protests was triggered by the political tension in the country.

“Following the ongoing tensions in the country, as the Ministry of Urban Development, we have resolved not to issue permit to protestors” he said.

But leaders of political parties, students and trade unions vowed to continue advocating for democratic reforms through a series of activities.

“We will announce our program of action that will render this country ungovernable, we want Mswati to go, his time is over”, said Colani Maseko, the Students Union President.
