MBABANE: Mbongwa Dlamini, the President of the Swaziland National Association of Teachers(SNAT) said as an organization, they will report the recent shooting of teachers to the International Labour Organization(ILO).
This comes after the police fired teargas inside a bus, closed the door and fired live ammunition to teachers who tried to escape through the emergency exist. This happened during the October 2021 protest organized by the Public Sector Association(PSAs)
“We have tried to engage the National Commissioner and he said he was not aware as those who were injured never reported. We intend reporting this to ILO, we are working on this matter”, said the SNAT President.
Questions were sent to National Commissioner William Dlamini, however, he had not responded at the time of compiling.
