MPUMALANGA: Attorney General Sifiso Khumalo was visually following the court proceedings left shortly after High Court Judge Brian Mashile indicated that he won’t grant an order to interdict the editor and this publication.
This was on Thursday at the Mpumalanga High Court during the matter where Prince Sicalo, the Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Defense took editor Zweli Martin Dlamini to court seeking to interdict this Swaziland News from publishing what he described as private information about him.
Prince Sicalo told the court that the editor published his passport and vehicle registration numbers thus exposing him to security risks.
The editor had exposed how the Prince alleged crossed the border to meet other State security agents with an alleged intention of smuggling guns to be used in the ongoing shooting and killing of civilians.
Judge Mashile ordered that matter be referred to mediation as per an agreement by both parties.
Senior Advocate Myron Dewrance, Advocate Kerusha Pillay represented the editor and this Swaziland News in the matter while Prince Sicalo was represented by Advocate Van Den Heeva.
