LOBAMBA: Paul Dlamini, the Chairman of the Liqoqo Swazi National Council says eSwatini is burning and going down.
This is contained in a leaked cellphone conversations between the King’s Advisory Council Chairman and our source who cannot be revealed for ethical reasons, they were discussing the ongoing political unrest.
“Kulukhuni kepha-ke hhayi sisazama Nkulunkulu utasibambisa siyametsemba. Kona kulukhuni emajaha solo agijima emahlatsini.(meaning): The situation is very bad but we are trying to resolve it, we hope God will help us”, he said.
The King’s Advisory Council Chairman said what made the situation more complicated and difficult to resolve was that they were fighting with an invisible enemy.
“Inkinga kutsi ulwa nesitsa longasiboni nalongasati, nekwekutsi...asesitsi-ke ufuna kukhuluma, utawukhuluma nabani? Bantfu nabatawusuka bangene ehlatsini bashise tintfo tebantfu babulale, laba lesati kutsi bangema-ring leaders bale, utabeva sebabita press conference. Yebo siyavuma sikhatsi sitaba sindze kodvwa nawutsi ufuna kukhuluma nje kusasa utawukhuluma nabani?(meaning):The problem here is that we are fighting an invisible enemy, people just go wild and burn properties and those whom we know as ring-leaders are not here, even if we can avail ourselves for talks tomorrow, who are we going to talk to?”, he said.
Reached for comments, the King’s Advisor who was once appointed as Deputy Prime Minister asked not to comment on the leaked recording.
Reached for comments, Wandile Dludlu, the Secretary General of the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) said the King and those around him were always in a deliberate denial of the reality that indeed, the time for Tinkhundla was over and that a new democratic
Government must take over.
“They keep making various excuses and this include this excuse suggesting that they don’t know who to talk to, bantfu basehlatsini. It’s a complete nonsense”, said the PUDEMO Secretary General.
Speaking to this Swaziland News on Wednesday, Mandla Hlatswayo, the Chairperson of Letfu Sonkhe Institute for Strategic Thinking and Development said it was clear that those around the King were straying adding that maybe people like Paul Dlamini were affected by the recent Incwala rituals that disturbed their line of thinking.
“There are various political organizations in eSwatini under the MSF, PPA and these organizations regularly meet in Swaziland, they know them and they even arrest some political activists. We have SADC and recently, we were preparing terms of reference, MPs are in jail, they know them. Then, how do you even respond to such, where someone close to the King can claim, they don’t know who to talk to? That's why I am saying maybe he was affected by the rituals during Incwala and that’s why he is now straying”, said the Letfu Sonkhe Chairman.
