MANZINI: Wakhile Lukhele, the Secretary General of the Swaziland National Union of Students (SNUS)says they will render this country ungovernable until their President Colani Maseko and other political prisoners are released.
Speaking during a march to deliver a petition to the Manzini Regional Commander, the SNUS Secretary General described the arrest of the students President as a direct attack on all of them, therefore, they would render this country ungovernable until he was released from prison together with all political prisoners.
"The recent waves of torture, abduction and arrests play against the provisions of the constitution, which purportedly supports freedom of speech, association and assembly",reads the petition in part.
On Thursday, students under the SNUS banner marched to Manzini Regional Police Headquarters to demand the release of their President Colani Maseko who was abducted by King Mswati’s police and subsequently charged with sedition.
